Build a conveyor belt to consistently and efficiently level people up economically.
Why
Life used to be about the core needs of survival—eat, stay warm, reproduce. Instead of pursuing those needs directly, society has replaced them with a flexible proxy. But, that means that the quality of life is by default constrained by that proxy. For so many, leveling up their earning potential can transform the quality of their lives. It’s a difference in kind, not just in degree. This can unlock a whole new world of self-discovery, creativity, and charity, at a massive scale.
Want to solve global problems? Recruit more people by bringing them in to the upper middle class. Some of them will be disillusioned by the pursuit of more, at that point, and will be interested in pursuing the betterment of the world. Etc.
